Frequently Asked Questions

   Holland Road Church Core Values

  1. A Christ-Centered Ministry where Jesus Christ is the head of the church, is actively involved with the church and is building His church.  (Matt. 16.18)
  2.  A Dedication to Innovation and Creativity. While our message is timeless, our methods adapt to those we are here to serve.        (Luke 5:33-39)

“The intelligent man is always open to new ideas. In fact, he looks for them” (Prov. 18:15 LB)

A Commitment to Praise and Worship. We believe that worship helps us enter into a closer relationship with the Lord.               (Acts 2:47)

We Value Service. “Your attitude must be like my own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve”                     (Matt. 20:28 LB)

We Value Growth. “Under Christ’s control, the whole body is nourished and held together … and it grows a God wants it to grow.”       (Col. 2:19 GNB)

The Word of God. We are committed to communicate God’s Word in a way that ministers God’s grace and leads to obedience.        (II Tim 3:16-17)

A Commitment to Prayer. Ministries and activities of this church will rely on prayer in their conception, planning, and execution. God desires His people to pray. We believe that God hears and answers the prayers of His people.  (Matt. 7:7-11)(James 5:13-18) (Acts 2:42)

Ministry as Teamwork. We are dedicated to a team model for ministry. Each part of the body belongs to all the others.                (Rom.15:7)

We Accept People’s Differences. “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you” (Rom 15:7)

“Live together in harmony, live together in love, as though you have only one mind and one spirit between you”                         (Phil. 2:2)

“There are all sorts of service to be done, but always to the same Lord; working in all sorts of different ways in different people”          (I Cor 12:5 JB)

A Christian Should be a Doer of the Word. A Christian should not just hear the Word of God but be a doer of the Word as well.       (James 1:22)

Striving For Excellence. Paul exhorts servants, in what ever they do to “work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” (Col 3:23)

A Commitment to use Spiritual Gifts. Holland Church encourages all believers find and utilize their spiritual gifts in order to effectively serve others. (Rom.12:6) (I Pet. 4:10)

In addition to the core values mentioned, Holland Church is a place where you can find friendships, fellowship, and God’s love in action.

We have an evangelistic ministry style in line with the fulfilling of the Great Commission.  Equipping the saints of God through discipleship training and leadership training is a priority of our ministry team. Seeing souls won to Christ is the very essence of Holland Church.  Lost people do matter to God.

A well-balanced Christian experience includes meaningful worship, life-related biblical teaching, significant relationships with other Christians, and serving others according to your gifts, abilities, and interests.
